WEEKLY ACTIVITIES & LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Drop-in meeting, Wednesday 10am - 3pm

You do not need an appointment to attend our drop-in session. Find out more about the support available : 

  • One-to-one free interpretation and translation services  
  • Befriending – in person and phone calls 
  •  Helping disadvantaged people get into work, support with online job search and  applying 
  •   CV Help and Interview preparation 
  • Online job searching for vacancies and assistance with application forms
  •   Signposting to our partners, government department and other organisations for  Housing, Employment, Education and Health needs 
  • We have experienced volunteer interpreters in Swahili, Lingala, French, Kinyarwanda and Kirundi
  • General advice and Support


Physical Exercise , Thursday


We run a football training session every Thursday from 16:30pm -18:00pm at the 3G Pitch on Massey Street, HU3 3LA


This is a community led project aimed to enthuse young socially deprived people to engage in activities that are beneficial for them and the rest of the community. 


Please do contact us if you wish to attend the session so we know how many people to expect

Admin office work, Friday 10am - 3pm

Pop in and see us at any time during our open hours, our friendly team of volunteers and trustees will be happy to welcome you to our office and support you in any way we can even if it's just for a chat we will be happy to see you.

H.O.A Youth Club

Humber Open Arms Youth Club is one of our long-term projects catered to support young people from the Congolese community primarily, but not exclusively.  This project is to help build a stronger, healthier and happier community with the main focus on improving members' physical and mental health.


  • We hold a monthly meeting with volunteers, service users and the committee 
  •  Music rehearsal & learning to play musical instruments 
  •  Day out trips 
  •  Social gathering and fun activities, games i.e.: PlayStation, Xbox
  • Active in the community, helping those who need practical help such as shopping and running errands 
  • Supporting bereaved families
  • Providing a welcoming space for those who feel socially isolated 
  • Mentoring
