Humber Open Arms Youth Club is one of our long-term projects designed to support young people from the Congolese community, although it is open to all. This initiative aims to foster a stronger, healthier, and happier community, with a primary focus on enhancing the physical and mental health of our members.
We host weekly activities such as monthly meetings with volunteers, service users, and the committee, music rehearsals, and learning to play musical instruments. Additionally, we organize day trips, social gatherings, and fun activities, including games like PlayStation and Xbox. Our youth club is also active in the community, providing practical assistance to those in need, such as shopping and running errands, supporting bereaved families, and offering a welcoming space for individuals who feel socially isolated. Mentoring opportunities are also available to help guide and empower our youth.
