We had previously run as an unconstitutional community group in Hull for over a decade, as our performance and demand for our services grew we decided to formally register as a charity to better cater for our beneficiaries. The aim of the organisation is working to relieve financial hardship and promote social inclusion for BME communities, refugees, migrants and other vulnerable members of the community who seek our support.
OUR VISION:
At Humber Open Arms, we believe no-one in Hull should have to face loneliness, and isolation alone or feel excluded from their community because they're refugees, migrants or seeking asylum. Every member of the Hull and East Yorkshire community should be supported and offered a fair opportunity to create a quality life, integrate and be a valued member of the British society.
OUR VALUES:
1) Inclusion, we welcome and work with people from all walks of life and different backgrounds. we promote diversity and treat everyone with respect
2) We are open, transparent and honest in all our work
3) We work with the people and, for the people. we work collaboratively within our charity and with our partnering organisations.
